Snowboarding is a sport that was born out off snow skiing. The first snowboard was manufactured in Utah during the early 1970s. Although there are others who claim to have invented snowboarding, the end result is it has turned into a sport that has a very large following.

The snowboard is what makes the sport and while there are many different styles and designs, the difference from each is primarily the length, width, flex, sidecut, tail, nose and camber.
