When looking to buy a used snowboard, you first need to have an idea of the length and the width of the board that will best suite your body type and style of riding.
Learn Hot New Snowboarding Tricks and Basics
Boards have manufacturer weight limits for riders and it’s a good start to first look at a board that is rated for your weight.
Then, you need to decide on the length of the board. Are you going to be doing tricks, or just plain fast riding? Longer boards are more stable at higher speeds but are harder to perform aerials with, so pick the length of the board for the style of riding you will be doing.
If you have larger feet, make sure you get a board that is wide enough for your feed to be on the board in your normal riding stance. If not, your heel or toes might extend over the board during riding and it could keep you from performing all the riding maneuvers you’re looking to do.
